Lion and the Lamb
I made this painting around Easter. I wanted to make a big art piece that would stand out. This painting took me 35 hours to make and it is 1x1,5 meter. That is 3x5 feet. I finished this painting on March 23, 2023.
I learned a lot while painting this painting. I never painted a realistic portrait before, so I was pretty nervous. But as I was going, the portrait became better and better. The wounds were very hard because for me it was difficult to make it realistic.
When I was happy with the portrait, I went to the Lion. That one was not that hard, because I did a lion before. Only this time, it was pretty big. So the hairs were not so small and detailed as the other lion painting.
I painted a part of this painting live in the church where I told my testimony on how God changed my life. I put a picture down below.
I am really happy with the results of this painting. This was my biggest painting I made. The canvas just fit in the car. xD
The best part for me I think, is the eye of the portrait. It is so realistic and it just looks at you.
Below are behind the scenes pictures and a timelapse video from my YouTube channel.
